NEUM Town
Neum is a famous tourist destination in the southern part of Dalmatia, and the only way out of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the sea.
It is noted for a large number of sunny days in a year with mild and short winters as well as long and hot summers with a very small number of rainy days during the summer months. Average air temperature is 32 ºC in July and August. The sea is clean and translucent and average sea temperature is between 24 ºC and 26 ºC during the summer months.
The Neum hinterland is well-known for archeological sites and historical sights as well as numerous Karst caves out of which Vjetrenica in Popovo polje is the most distinguished and renowned for the Proteus or Olm, endemic amphibian animal.
Together with various hotel programs, guests are offered also sightseeing trips by bus or boat to adjacent tourist places (Dubrovnik, Međugorje, Mostar, Hutovo Blato, Korčula, Ston, Neretva Delta).
